*shakes his head* Sad, ain't it...? Look, if you want to go hork books, do it on your own time and do it so we can report you so you can get arrested. If you like a hobby, you should be willing to go through and pay the money to participate, not steal it so you can "stick it to the man".

I have spent over $15,000 on D20 books, I have an expansive library that looks like it will not have an end, not to mention PDF's. All you need to do is buy a PHB. Hell, go buy one used at a used book store or even get one off of eBay if you are that cheap...

I am sorry for contributing to a flame war here, but as a man that is passionate about this hobby, I can't stand mooches...

    Arrow

Question, in order to play the game properly, I agree with many of the others, at least invest in the Player's Handbook. No one expects you to shell out quite as much as Leif, but at least the PHB would help you out the most.

Other resources are available here. Play the game some before getting involved in trying to figure out every aspect of the game mechanics.

It isn't a flame war until someone lobs a grenade into a 10 x 10 foot room and slams the door and bars it shut.

And even then, it oughtta' be an incendiary grenade, or at least a good ol' Molotov cocktail.

Or is it only a "war" when someone throws one back?

How about a MOAB? I prefer pre-emptive strikes myself.
