Thread: Trade Goods from Müden

I didn't consider the land routes from Muden because in general most are very unsafe and plagued by bandits. This ship is part of a trade route chain, transporting goods from Muden to Anuire and then going from Anuire to Ariya before returning by the repeat journey and making profits all along the way. The main profit will comes from the smaller valuables but they are bringing a load of less valuable bulk cargo to fill the ship.
My game starts shortly so this is what I'll be going with.
Deck cargo will be specialised hardwood lumber bound for Anuire furniture makers. Valuable but not something someone would steal. Below decks they will be carrying cotton, beer, preserved fish, bulk furs, and some smaller amounts of wine, weapons, and fashionable clothing as bulk cargo and in the strongroom will be the valuable cargo which along with the items I originally listed I've decided to add a telescope bound for the royal astronomer's guild, a crate of bottled magical components for the college of sorcery, and four different and unique hats crafted by a famous Muden haberdasher which have been order by a noblewoman of the Imperial City for a series of upcoming social events.Let me claim your Birthright!!

Sounds like a good haul. That should keep those pesky curious adventurers busy.

The gods help the adventurer's if they steal the hats - they will leave the nobles humiliated at social event (by the need to wear an inferior assemblage) thus implicitly taking the side of the rivals of the nobles rivals.
Like selling jewelry recovered from undead foes selling goods recovered from pirates, or lott taken from ships, or even goods granted as a reward by a grateful tradesmean can have all sorts of interesting consequences

They stole the hats... The wizard couldn't resist them, apparently they went with her outfit. She is apparently going to wear one to a social event she has been invited to. Now I wonder what happens when the noble who originally purchased them shows up at the same event...

I recently had a similar situation - the party was on a Khinasi dhow sailing from Muden back to the warmer ports. I decided to go with furs - furs from animals in colder climates will be richer and longer-furred than animals in warm climates. Thus the quality of fur you get in Muden would be a lot better than Avanil and would fetch a good price.
