    My take is that bloodtrait/bloodform is tied to the inner nature of the scion, but only a scion who truly embraces their bloodline is ever likely to fully transform - there's no mechanic on it but thematically it suits me.

    So only a scion of Azrai who embraced Azrai's views, desires, etc would be truly shaped by bloodform - indicating that they would either be evil or turn to it as their transformation progressed, and similarly bloodtrait transformations would only become prominent when the scion truly reflected the ways of the ancient god whose bloodline they bear.
