    Orogs

I need to find out everything I can about Orogs. Do they have some kind of society structure, are they mindlessly aggressive, was there ever an attept at diplomacy between them and dwarves, they have some very strong mounted units, is there enough space under the mountains for them to deploy...

And help would be greatly appriciated

Unfortunately, things are somewhat sketchy when it comes to orogs in a lot
of the original materials. Have you already checked out all the existing
sources of information on the orogs? Though more than a little limited,
there is information on them in some of the texts like PSo Baruk Azhik and
LotHK, particularly the Dwarven Steel adventure. There`s always the
entries on the Blood Skull Barony (in the Rjurik Highlands) the Iron Hand
Tribes (Cities of the Sun) and the Sword Rust Tribes (Tribes of the
    Heartless Waste.)

We do not, however, know much about the orogs that inhabit the lands
near/under Baruk Azhik other than that there are enough of them to
seriously challenge the safety and security of that realm. Supposedly,
that`d give them a similarly sized population as the dwarves, but nobody
can really say for sure. In any case, that population is undocumented.

When it comes to their mounts, there are whole units of orog giant lizard
riders, and they are described as being similar to Vos varsk riders in
TotHW p32. Since similar giant lizards are penned in the LotHK adventure
it might be reasonable to assume they are used underground. Though,
admittedly, the whole process of company-level combats occurring in tunnels
might stretch believability. Only in large, cavernous areas could
conflicts of 200 individuals organized into units reasonably take
place. On the whole, however, that`s more of a matter of how one is going
to adjudicated the issue in the first place, so if one is going to have
large scale combat underground at all then it might as well have lizard
mounted orog cavalry in it IMO. YMMV.

It would seem that Orogs are capable of ruling a lawful kingdom on the surface, which to me indicates they're rather advanced culturally and mentally. I have always treated Orogs as a humanoid race equal to playable races or even Goblins, as they seem to be just as capable as any other race of producing weapons, armor, fighting wars, unit drill, etc.
