Question Coeranys - imports and exports

I'm fairly new to Birthright, which means I don't own a single source book, hence this question.

What are the imports and exports of Coeranys?

    Horses and cattle.
But don't bother. It means nothing in an original abstract guild holding and trade routes system.

I wasn't of the opinion that the imports and exports had any importance rules wise. I'll need the information for a general presentation of Coeranys in a game that I'm currently playing in.

Horses and cattle? Are those two import or export or one of each. I seem to remember having heard that Coeranys exports horses. Is that right?

Both are exports, IIRC. Coeranys is big in ranching. I imagine there
are cattle drives via some of the highways, and maybe some specialized shipping
for long-distance transport, but probably no farther than the rest of the
    Southern Coast.

Ok, so exports include horses and cattle. What about imports then?

Well, if nothing is specified, then they probably import just a little of
everything. Luxury goods, or things that cannot be grown locally are probably
the main things. They are probably nearly self-sufficient in basic food, so
perhaps spices and exotics for the wealthy. If the economy is focussed on
ranching, then worked metal or wood products might be a niche to fill.

I expect trade routes with Barak-Azhik and Osoerde provide the primary sources of imports for Coeranys. So dwarven craft goods (tools, arms. jewelry) and raw materials (refined metals, quarried stone, precious metals and gems) would be high on the list of notables. Perhaps dyes and exotic drugs from Osoerde's swamp-dwellers, too.

If cattle and horses are big exports for Coeranys, then you could also expand that list to include related things: leatherwork, cheese, jerked meat....

Leatherworkers would also provide some of the demand for dye imports or local production to enhance their own products. This assuming, of course, that there are existing trade routes in the first place. If there are, I don't think there are many in the Coeranys of 551 MR.

You might also add peat to the list of exports, at least "[t]he too-common swamps and bogs make peat gathering a normal labor." Whether or not transporting peat across national borders is a worthwhile enterprise is up to you.

As for what the imports should be, I would take a cue from the guilds. It is likely that any exports of realms in which they also maintain a presence would find their way into Coeranys. This would include Baruk-Azhik, Oesoerde, Elinie, Ghoere, Alamie, and Mhoried.

Taking out products that Coeranys also exports, this yields "all items of dwarven manufacture" (Baruk Azhik), "freshwater fish, game . . ., crops . . ., wool and mutton . . ." (Mhoried), "corn" (Alamie), and "steel, grain, and sheep " (Ghoere).
