    Prestige Classes in Atlas?

This is just a quick poll to see if people really want prestige classes in the Atlas of Cerilia or not. Again, this is just to nail down what we are looking to include so we can focus working on what you want to see.

At the moment I have a number of prestige classes of varying quality that have been submitted, but to be perfectly honest I'm not certain that they really fit into the Atlas. The Atlas of Cerilia is primarly going to be setting material, not rules material. However, if you want to see prestige classes, then that is what you will get So, if you feel strongly one way of the other, then please vote.

What I'd like to see if prestige classes are included is just a small number focusing specifically on the BR setting and providing example that individual DMs can use. I don't really want a heap that are tied into a specific religious order or group, although one or two as an example would be ok.

Some I would personally like to see are...

    - Warlord/General (couple of versions already done)
    - Blood Hunter (for those who make a living hunting down scions or awnshegh)
    - Shadow Mage (use version of Shadow Adept from FRCS perhaps??)
    - Battle Wizard (depends on changes to BRCS regarding battle magic?)
    - Disciple of Azrai (similar to PCs from Book of Vile Darkness?)
    - Knights of Haelyn or other religious military order
    - Race specific PCs (one each for halfling, elf, dwarf maybe?)
    - A couple of organisation specific examples (watch guardian is good one)

However, I'm not that good at writing up prestige classes or I would have done versions of my own by now. If someone is willing to toss their hat into the ring and write up a few good prestige classes then I'm quite happy to include them, but I'll be just as happy not to include them if it means completing the atlas.

I`d concur with most those and would include at least one guilder-oriented
PrC--possibly something with an eye towards Brecht sailor/tradesman
style. It might also be sensible to have one for the tattoo oriented Vos
    worshippers of Belenik & Kreisha.

Should there be an Azrai oriented PrC, though? Given his demise (?) and
all maybe he shouldn`t have a lot of direct worshippers, per se.

Several PrCs were suggested a while back that were oriented towards goblins
and orogs, IIRC. Something like that would be appropriate too IMO.

Concentrate on the realms for the Atlas. Prc can be completed later, either seperately or as another smaller project.

I intend to. However, I do have a number of prestige classes that were submitted (20+) so was trying to decide what to do with them.

    prestige classes

I would post them and see which ones are liked and the ones that are not in polls.

I agree with Ian in that I don't want to see a "book of prestige classes" incorporated into the BRCS or Atlas. IMO the fewer "core" prestige classes the better. They are all optional (per the DMG) and highly subjective and personal -hence I would rather have fewer included and leave the door open for people to post their own individual ones separately so that people can choose what to use or not. I really don't want to get into the business of "deciding" whose gets in and whose doesn't.

Having said that there is room for PrCl tobe added into each part of the Atlas as cultural themed ones and to include the broad scoping/not culturally tied ones in the BRCS itself - much like WotC has been doing in almost everything they publish.

I think that it is more important to finish the Atlas than to have the prestige classes in it. Adding the prestige classes to the Atlas seems a little like feature creep to me. A complete detailed atlas with the relevant setting info in it is more important than the prestige classes.

I also think it would be better to have the prestige classes released individually as PDFs for download or perhaps a big zip of them all as well. That provides an easy way for people to download just relevant classes for them.

    My two cents.

I agree with this sentiment. At most, I would recommend one PrC per
    region.
