    Birthright-L

I have "finished" rewriting the script that allows the exchange of posts/mails between the BRnet forums and the official BR mailing list.

the forum will import all messages send to the mailing list every 15 minutes.
messages posted are send to the mailinglist at once.

i have checked checked double checked it, but there could still be a malfunction* in the code since the forum software is totally new for me.

the two worlds should be linked together once and again

    Yay!!

Thanks for the effort Arjan. I've always thought that linking the mailing list and forums was a great idea, it helps to keep the BR community in one place and boost the activity on both forums and list.

By the way, I must say that the new forums are really much nicer and easier to use that the old ones, once you get used to them. The frontpage is now a lot more useful.
    Let me claim your Birthright!!

    Thanks :P

The new forum software is indeed much nicer then IPB, and alot easier to customize to.

I am glad we decided to invest a bit of money for this license.

Even the mailing list connection was easier to write (once i got the hang of the code). just calling 1 single include file that takes care of all things regarded posting messages (even search index updates)

    things to do:
    - customizing fronpage for better navigation
    - Download section
    - Article section customizing, i have converted all the articles without actually adding them to the system, there for its a bit buggy.
    - Look-n-feel now that all the functionality is back i can start working on the layout.
