Search for the Spider
I downloaded The Spider 3.5e in word format, the best-written NPC for BR 3.5 I have ever seen, from one of the posts and I lost it somewhere. I have only the second page. So if anyone can direct to that post?
Here is the second page so you can recognize which Spider I am talking about!
Frightful Presence (ex): This ability is activated when the Spider charges or jumps into combat. This ability can affect creatures of up to 22 hit dice or levels. Opponents within 30 ft. of the Spider must make a Will save (DC 16) or become frightened. This effect lasts 5d6 rounds.
Improved Grab (ex): If the Spider hits an opponent with both claws he can choose to start a grapple attempt as a free action. If successful, the target is drawn under the Spider's body where it is pinned to the floor by two to four of the Spider's hind mandibles and ensnared with webbing. The following round the opponent may make an opposed grapple check to break free or follow the method for escaping web.
Improved Uncanny Dodge (ex): The Spider retains his dexterity bonus to AC even if caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible creature. The spider can also not be flanked. A rogue attempting to sneak attack the Spider must be at least 11th level for the attack to succeed.
Incredible Jump (ex): When making a jump action the Spider's horizontal jump DC is half the normal and for a vertical jump is only doubled (normally quadrupled).
Opportunist (ex): Same as the Rogue ability.
Poisonous Bite (ex): Initial damage Fort Save DC 17 or take 1d8 str damage. Secondary damage 1d8 str.
Pounce (ex): If the spider charges, he can make a full attack.
Powerful Charge (ex): If the Spider charges, his claws instead deal 2d6+14 damage each.
Rake (ex): Victims pinned to the ground beneath the Spider because if his Improved Grab ability suffer four attacks from the Spider's hind legs, each attack deals 1d6+3 piercing damage.
Rebuke Vermin (su): Like the cleric ability Rebuke Undead, the Spider can rebuke creatures of the Vermin type as a cleric of 10th level.
Sneak Attack: +3d6
Spittle (ex): The Spider can spit the virulent saliva that drips from his maw as a ranged touch attack. Creatures struck by such an attack must make a Fort Save DC 17 or be blinded for one minute. Creatures that make their save are dazed for 1d4 rounds.
Web (ex): Once per round as a standard action the Spider can throw web as a ranged touch attack. This is similar to an attack with a net, but has a max range of 50 feet with range increments of 10 feet, and is effective against targets of huge size or smaller. An entangled creature can escape with a successful Escape Artist check (DC 17) or burst it with a strength check (DC 20). This ability can be empowered at will by the spider to hit up to 4 targets within a 30 ft. radius of the Spider. If the Spider uses such an attack, he cannot use his web ability again for 1d4 rounds.
Wounding Bite (ex): In addition to the poison ability, the Spider's bite also has the Wounding magical weapon property, dealing 1 point of temporary constitution damage per hit.

I believe you were referring to fiftyone's version. He put in a lot of work trying to come up with Awnshegh.
He ran into a lot of discussion over how things should be handled for the BRCS and it sort of got him soured on the idea (the amount of critical discussion that is).
The last place we left awnie development was that we reached an impass over how to best handle them either as a 20 level class progression of something similar to the UA bloodlines system (which is what fiftyone had used).
I think this is the thread you were looking for.
