MONITOR POST - Quoting
It seems we have a small, yet reoccurring, problem. This problem rears its
ugly head in the form of over-quoting. In order to save bandwidth(and make
life easier for Majordomo)you should only quote the relevant text from a
Post you are replying to. Not the entire Post, as we are all on the List and
it is safe to assume that everyone recieved the original Post in its
entirety. I realize that sometimes you are responding to an entire Post and
feel it necessary to therefore quote the entire Post, this is perfectly
fine. Still you should always "snip" away a Posts header(if its lengthy),
and the automatic tag that Majordomo puts at the end of every Post. This may
seem like a little thing(and in fact it is), but by adhering closer to the
Rules on quoting we can make a vast difference in the List's efficiency.
Thank you for your time.
