    The Sayer of Coullabhie

    Hello there.

I have been thinking about hte Sayer of Coullabhie, Camrynnyd Bullahrie
(FE; W9; Re, major, 28; N), this weekend. She is the court mage of
Coullabhie and controls a domain which generates 107 RP per domain
    turn.

I have two questions, first, how do you say her name.

Second, why does she only have a bloodline score of 28. She currently
has 65 RP accumulated. HotGB indicates that she has been around even
before Desimaar. Why has she not boosted her bloodline by spending her
regency points? If she did this only once a year, she would shortly be
at 50, and in 70 years could be knocking on the 100 door.

The higher your bloodline score, the more taht people want to come after
you. At the same time, the higher your score the more you are capable
of defending yourself. Particularly in the Sayer's case. She is using
her magics to protect Coullabhie and her own extensive holdings. Would
it not be to the best of her advantage to improve her score? With more
bloodline, more regency, more RP, the better she can defend herself.

Granted spending 97 RP to improve your bloodline 1 point may be a little
ridiculous, but surely she could afford to boost herself to at least the
lower 40s. SO why doesn't she?

    Just pondering.

If her Bloodline Score is 28 and she has holdings which generate
107RP per turn, then she is throwing away 79 RPs every turn. This
has to be a mistake. No regent with that large of a holding would
be content to keep their bloodline strength that low. She would be
unable to defend her holdings from more than one attacker at a time.

For heaven's sake, then change it! If a RP score of 57 makes you
happier, then go head: change it. Why all this fuzz?

Easy now. I apologize, all right? Maybe my tone was a bit angry, and I'm
sorry for having offended you. That was not what I intented, of course.
But I do mean what I wrote: If you believe it's an error, then you
should change it. But it is not "an obvious error". Who knows, she might
be not be interested in increasing her bloodline strength (elves are
weird when compared to humans!), she might fear the attention of
awnsheghs should she become too blooded, or she might have some magical
device which she use to transfer her own bloodline into something more
useful... There could be a number of reasons why her bloodline is that
    low. Use your imagination.

Wait a minute! If she has a bloodline strength of 28, wouldn't she receive
only 28 RP's per domain turn, unless the total level of her domain holdings
was smaller? Or, if she receives 107 RP's per turn, wouldn't she have to
have a bloodline strength of 107?
That, my friend, is what is called a misprint...

    Here's a suggestion: Cam-REE-need BOH-la-ree.
