I would like to comment on a running debate about using outside info. in
the campaign and ask a question at the same time.
Having made a BR campaign in a unique way, I was forced at times to draw
on other TSR resources for countries. I think that you can use parts of
other campaign settings for Birthright. For example, I recently bought
the Ravenloft: Transylvania guide. Obviously it needed a few changes,
cause all you need is to have PCs going there simply to fight Dracula, but
it is rich in history, and with some work, can fit into BR. Anyone else
know any other good addons like that which would work in BR?

Hi Christopher.
Dragon magazine published articles on playing Birthright in previously
released campaing worlds, among them Greyhawk and Al-Qadim, both very
interesting settings. The Greyhawk products (the From the Ashes line being
the most recent) are especially well-done and suited o a Birthright
campaing. If I remember correctly, a Greyhawk the Ivid the Undying
not-released product is available on the TSRInc.com site.

I meant to clear this statement up before I got attacked... I was being
sarcastic in saying "all you need is to have PCs...". What I meant is that
is what you don't want by ANY stretch of the imagination. you don't want
PCs doing that just because they think they know of Dracula and just want
to challenge him. One thing about me is that I am often sarcastic, so I
will make an effort to make my thoughts clear beforehand...

I downloaded the Savage Coast stuff from TSR (they've release apparently
the ENTIRE line! to the internet) and it could mesh perfectly into
Birthright. Just make the lands a ways across the ocean. I've been considering
a great quest to find the home of the Dragons (the PCs could get suckered
into it by having a Cerilian Dragon geas them) and along the way they
"discover" the Savage Coast. This would be just a short stay for one or two
adventures and then on with the quest and back home to Cerilia.

Do you remember which Dragon magazines contained those articles? Thanks!
