More Ghoere
OK, just to clear up a few things about the Ghoere scenario. Roesone had
won initiative, with Ghoere second. They both chose to go last, which
meant Ghoere went first. He invaded after Mhoried, Alamie, and Elenie had
taken their turns. When Roesone invaded, his army was crunched with the
counterinvasion (that's one war move), and with three more war moves left
he could have been in Caercas by the end of the month. Roesone sued for
peace and withdrew, and the war was over before any of the other regents
could declare war. Overall, it worked out quite well for Ghoere, for the
way his country is set up he is only 2 moves from pretty well anywhere.
So, if you actually take time to look at a map, you'll see that scouts
would have been useless. The realm had been scryed the action round
before, and all the troops in Bhaelene were noted. At the time of the
invasion, there was no time for espionage to confirm where the troops went
- - remember declare war is a domain action. So, basically Roesone had no
choice, and his commitment backfired. Just goes to show that you gotta be
careful - it's a jungle out there.

It all makes sense now. Thank you. Now, to see how careful my players
are... :)
