Democracy and Birthright Rules
>>>has anyone experimented with any sort of democracy or republic in

As Canada is about to elect its 36th or so parliment, I was trying to view
all the election BS through BR eyes - kinda neat actually.
What if the election process "blooded" the winner in some manner, allow
him/her to rule. Their certainly is enough pomp & ceremony around the
occasion to qualify as an investiture action ;)
When the next election comes around, the previous ruler (PM, Pres,
whatever) is divested, and the new one invested.
I'm sure someone out there can come up with some crisp description of this
process.
