I cant do diplomacy(unless the regent approaches me first.....) or declare war on it,but ive seen NPCs try to take anuire without needing a war declaration and anure can just keep attacking me without a war declaration........whats the deal with this?

Its insane when you have a 10/0 city state sitting in your rear lines perioidcally sending troops to attack you and you cant attack back!

Side note : how do you build strongholds/citadals/fortresses/wizard towers? All i can find is the fortify option which makes normal castles.

The game is buggy and a bit incomplete in several areas. The Imperial city is one of those areas. The best way to try and deal with it is through wizard magic. Get a decent Wizard and source and forge a ley line into the city. Mass Destruction, Legion of Dead, and Summoning can all be cast and declare war is not needed.

Luckily The made Dosiere a Priest/Fighter instead of a Wizard/Fighter so he's not near as nasty in a fight as he might otherwise be.

Castles are the only thing you can build. I don't think the other things actually even have a function.

Wizards Towers are not build - they are created through the use of the

STRONGHOLD realm spell. Considering your last questions regarding

sources and ley lines I doubt that you have sources available of

sufficient level to cast that spell.

A game worth playing is a game worth paying for. Even if you only play a

few hours with the game you could sacrifice an amount of money for a

similar amount of fun-time, e.g. viewing a movie at the cinema

20-30$ is more than you would pay for the game if you have the patience

to observe Ebay (or other shops) for a few weeks.

As I said before Birthright: The Gorgons Alliance shows up from time to

time, and most times sells for less than that. Even with shipping added in.

Right now two copies are sold in germany:

    http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...sPageName=WDVW

    http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...sPageName=WDVW

For other areas of the world you just have to wait until the game shows

    up again.

That is another reason to get the *real* game and not the abandonware

version. As you said you can´t go on adventures in your ripped version -

but there you´ll find the Tomes of the Mage Lord from which you can

learn realm spells your regent does not know at the start of the game

    like "Stronghold".

    bye
