    Guilds /was Slow Domain

    I'm sure this has been discussed to death around here, but I'll throw my
    coppers in the pot... I've always viewed guilds as cities. Cities were the
    centers of trade, and some/many were fairly independent of the local ruler.
    Anyone else see them that way ? Or I'm out on a lonely limb :)

    Actually, that's my idea too. Here's what i think. Guilders have very
    strong power in a province. Should their operations go down, then the
    province will have major problems. Less trade, less money, less taxes for
    the ruler. Less food, more trouble. So, in my campaign, we are not even
    allowed to touch traders. A guild and its leader cannot be persecuted
    unless proven they have commited some terrible crime. Innocent till proven
    otherwise stands here, cos if it doesn't they screw up your province. So we
    take over his holdings first by domain actions and THEN take him on.
