    David Eddings + Aduria

    What struck me as you wote this is that it reminded me of the David
    Eddings novels (Belgariad and Malloreon) inwhich the 'evil' empire at
    one time invades the western loosly governed states. (OK I know they
    knew of eachother;s existence, but not much trade was being done nor
    contacts.) Anyone agrees?
