Alamie

We have just started our campaign in Tuornen. I was wondering, for those
others who are playing Tuornen also, how large have they made the army of
Alamie, and what is the breakdown of the army (aside from the knights in
Sorentier).

My last campaign involved had one of the characters become Duke of
Alamie. I made the Alamien army quite large, since they are in such a
nasty position strategically (on the border of both Mhoried and
Ghoere, with Tuornen and the 5 Peaks to the north and west). As i
recall, along with the 2 units of knights, there was 3 each of
archers, pikes and infantry, as well as one elite infantry (the Ducal
Guard). However, at that point in the plot, Alamie was being heavily
raided by the Five Peaks, and I wanted the new Duke to be able to
consider an invasion of Tuornen (which he did, although he did lose
it again in the unrest and resistance that followed), so maybe that's
a bit higher than some might make it.

What I have discovered with Alamie is that it is not on equal terms with
Tournen. The holdings are lower value, and the interanl situation is much
worse. Even the other regents offer little or no financial aid (law holding
taxatation)...When it comes time to face these two rivals...I would hate to
be Alamie as it stands...
