Actually, I believe it states in one of the rule books (PLEASE don't
ask me to try to remember which one) that there are several acts
which are evil, despite morals/justice/local belief/etc.. Some
things are simply considered evil acts, despite what is acceptable in
that particular society. I don't think it is necessary to go into
the a philosophical discussion on the nature of evil to determin that
the cleric of Kreisha casting Finger of Death on you is an evil act,
while the Mage trying to disintegrate you for having (mistakenly, of
course) invaded his home is not. Avani is one of the gods of good,
so I think in the majority of cases, common sense will prevail.

Well... then we come to the point to difine evil. What is evil? Do I
need to be a psychopat to be evil or what? If I have killed a inocent
person. Am I evil then? I't a matter of moral and justice. There is
nothing that is right and nothing that is wrong. I supoce we have to go
after the gods thinking. What HE thinks is evil (I think of Avani).

take it like this... if it is "hostile"(i.e. magic used to harm or
hinderan Avani Priest) magic then you get a MR save... that's how we use
    it.

The way my group uses the magic resistance is if the person or creature is
evil then he gets the roll if the creature isn't then the magic is either
neutral or good. If the magic is from an item or such that is not wielded
by a creature we assume it is neutral ie it could go off at anything.
