Sarimiere 569

Medoere:
With peace now returning to the kingdom the regent and many of the clergy=
have
re-
turned to the more peaceful pursuits of study and worship. The regent him=
self
has been seen in the great library of Braeme. Toward the end of the month=
the
regent left the kingdom on an important trip. He has not been seen since.=

In other news there has been a guild war in Alamier province between the =
two
guild who control much of the provinces trade, Southern Anuire Shipping a=
nd
Imports and the large Heartlands Outfitters. At the end of the month the
winner seems to be the Southern Anuire Shipping and Imports which now con=
trols
3/4 of the provinces guilds.

Roesone:
A foreign Khinasi merchant has convince the regent to assist him in an
important matter in the eastern lands. Baron Fawn and the famous mercenar=
y
Cowan the Sword where seen to board the merchants large ship which then s=
et
sail for the east.
In other news a strange looking goblin was captured trying to sneak into =
the
Baron's quarters in his castle. The goblin was dressed entirely in a fine=

black cloth, and was carrying well crafted daggers, most unlike a normal
goblin. Little was learned about the creature though as it died before it=

could be questioned. It is believed that it killed itself before it could=
be
question, also most unlike goblin behavior.

Diemed:
The Baron has announced an small increase in some taxes to fund the rebui=
lding
of two castles along the border with Medoere which were destroyed in the =
war
with Medoere a year or so ago. These castles will also be strengthened by=
the
formation of two new mounted units to be based within their walls.
In other news a large amount of grain stored in a warehouse in Moere prov=
ince
has =

been stolen. The owners of the warehouse the Southern Anuire Shipping and=

Imports =

guild is blaming the Heartlands Outfitters guild for the theft.

Endier:
The new Caer Endier has been completed in record time, after help from th=
e
wizard =

caine in the construction. The wizard was also on hand to help celebrate =
the
completion of the massive structure. =

Towering over the city the castle is much more fortified than the one
destroyed during the ousting of the Awnshegh El-Hadid from Endier. It is
thought that the new castle can hold up to 2000 troops and survive a sieg=
e for
over two years. With its massive underground cellar hold vast amount of f=
ood
and supplies to outlast even the most persistent besiegers.
The castle is also a work of art with many magically strengthen glass win=
dow
looking out over the city from the upper floors and towers. Those lucky e=
nough
to be invited to the celebration have been pampered in the luxurious room=
s
that fill the castle. Much of the lower castle has been given over to bar=
rack
to hold the Endier defence forces, but the upper levels include a massive=

ballroom, three times the size of the previous one, and many fine kitchen=
s,
and lounges.
All who have visited the castle have agreed that the money spent on the
project has not been wasted, and many look forward to the celebration tha=
t are
sure to be hosted in this most excellent construction.

Imperial City:
Things were much quieter in the city this month with most of the Nobles a=
nd
wizard in Endier at the celebrations following the completion of the new =
Caer
Endier. The captain of the watch said that he was not surprised in the dr=
op in
crime and brawls during the celebrations.
In other news a ship in the harbour was destroyed by fire last week. Two =
black
clad figures were seen running from the scene moments before the ship was=

engulfed in flame. =

The large merchant galleon was believed to have belonged to the Heartland=
s
Outfitters, the cities largest guild.

Avanil:
The missing nobleman Radaen Balcree has been captured in the Iron Hills a=
fter
the =

help of the kingdoms regent Mhommad Bakuzuir. The jewel he stole however =
has
not =

been recovered. Radaen Balcree did not have it on him when he was capture=
d and
its =

whereabouts is still unknown.

Spiderfell:
A messenger was sent to the Spiderfell from Ghoere this month. Surprising=
ly
the returned alive. It is unknown what message the man carried.

Ghoere:
Vaesil Tael has been quick to cement his control over the kingdom, especi=
ally
after the temple of Haelyn in the capital confirmed him as ruler of Ghoer=
e. He
has sent messengers to allies and enemy rulers in all directions, includi=
ng
the Spider and has been busy replacing several key government post with n=
ew
officials. So far he has done little on his threats against Medoere.

Other News this month:

A spy in Kiergard recently reported that he has seen the Awnshegh El-Hadi=
d
heading =

north through the kingdom in the company of a member of the Gorgon's army=
=2E
Travelling with the group was a large number of Orog troops.

A small merchant vessel south of Osoerde was attacked by a group of fishe=
rmen.
This =

story is unconfirmed as it came from a dying sailor who managed to blurt =
out a
few =

words about the attack before expiring.
