Its been a long time since I saw the stats for Blackrazor. Thats from The
Village of Hommlet(sp?), or Keep on the Borderlands, isn't it? In any case
my suggestions may be a little redundent, or flawed, thanks to that. If I
remember correctly Blackrazor imparted some of the drained life essence into
the wielder, in the form of HPs. A lot like Stormbringer from the Elric
saga. So I would suggest treating like a form of "super-Tighmaevril",
granting the entire BL value to the wielder, and/or granting permanent HPs.
Prehaps 1 per level of the victim. I would tend toward the HP boost, because
the BL drain would quickly get ridiculous. The wielder should still gain 1/2
of the BL score, as per normal Tighmaevril, and get the HPs as a bonus. Of
course Blackrazor has a mind of its own, and whats not to say a BL of its
own. It could the HP bonus, and only 1/4 of the BL score tp the wielder,
keeping the other 1/4 for itself. With its increased strength it could exert
more control over the wielder, and make him hunt more blood, although in
time the draind BL would leech out of the sword making it hunger constantly,
or else it will grow weak. The wielder should also slowly gain some form of
insanity. The constant battle of wills with the sword would be taxing, would
be draining. Then there are the times when his defense slips, like when he
must finally sleep, and the sword commits unspeakable acts, with his body.
Eventually anyone would lose thier mind. Blackrazor is a nasty little sword,
most folks of good alignment would stay clear of such an obviously foul
item, but there are always those who think they can harness an evil power,
and use it for good. Most of the time they are wrong.

Just a quick note; it is from S2, "White Plume Mountain". Very cool
    weapon, but it IS chaotic-neutral...
Personally, I would say that it just sucks up the soul. Period. It is
greedy beyond belief (ie, CN), and would 'eat' all the blood points by
itself. Heck, you might want to even make the sword an awnshelign all buy
    itself!

White Plume Mountains, thanks for the remind. Like I said its been a few
years since I saw this item. I thought there was something that I was
missing. Still in order to get people to use it, the sword might want to
give a little extra something to its wielder. This way it would attract
powerful people. But your right it is CN, so it would probably be a
little(or a lot)greedy. How about this it keeps the BL for itself, but still
grants the permanent HP bonus. Of course Blackrazor already grants a rather
nice ability(the temporary HP boost, I think), so maybe it should just drain
the BL, and use it to increase its control over the wielder, act as per its
normal description. This weapon may even be attractive to none Blooded
people who feel that magical freaks have stolen thier Birthright, the right
of normal folk to govern normal folk. A nasty little rebel army could be
raised under this premise. I still like the idea of Blackrazor driving the
wielder slowly mad, it makes it a tougher choice for characters. Freedom,
and all it costs is your sanity, and it is sort of CN. Blackrazor itself
would thirst always for the life force, of any Blooded creature(and its BL).
As for Blackrazor becoming an Awnshelign, that would be intresting. Prehaps
a sentient sword at the battle of Mt. Deismaar became tainted by Azrai. Lots
    of possiblities here.
