Halflings II
I have something of a responce to Jonathan's posting on Halflings and
urge him and others to respond further. The "role" of Halflings in
Birthright is indeed odd. They seem to have entered Cerlia through the
"SHADOW REALM" and know of a future danger. In the novel "WAR" it says
that they did not take part in the battle at Desimar. I have not seen
this refernce else where. Jonathan, I believe that only BLOODED
characters can engage in BLOOD THEFT (I could be wrong). There is a
ritual called INVESTITURE that could allow a Halfling to become BLOODED.
The entire issue of BLOODED PC's is up to interpetation. BLOOD is a
link between the Elder Gods, the people, and the land. How are other
DM's handling these topics? How are other DM's and Players running
Halflings? How do you see the BLOOD abilites and the source of it's
power and basis?

I have a Halfling regent in my campaign, as regent of Roesone. He gained both
his bloodline and the regency from the former ruler (another character by the
smae player who was killed by another player). as the former ruler chosen
successor

One of the major characters in the book _The_Hag's_Contract is a person
with a tainted bloodline. He was an everyday Joe until he killed a very
minor awnsheigh and gained a bloodline. :)
