Maintenance???
I might sound totally stupid, but I have a slight problem with the
calculation of maintenance costs:
add up # of provinces AND # of holdings?
What if you don't rule the provinces, and have only a guild holding
there? Do the guild holdings add up to make the maintenance costs or
should the provinces be added also???
PLEASE HELP ME OUT!

Maintenance???
Hi, Seb.
My interpretation is that if you don't rule the provinces, you don't pay
maintenance for them.
So say Bob The Rogue has one guild (4), one (2) and one (1). That makes 3
holdings, for a maintenance cost of 1 GB (RB, p. 45). BTW, the value of the
holdings is unimportant.
Now King George rules a four-province domain with law holdings in each of
them and 2 guild holdings (he's greedy). That makes a province+holdings of
10, meaning a maintenance cost of 2 GBs.
There are a lot of fuzzy rules in that Rulebook, but I'm confident I've got
that one right :-)

Thanks Robin for this confirmation, for it was the thing I thought
that would be right.

Indeed, many are. Could anyone tell me the page (of what booklet) the
rules for bloodline etc. in children (being making a child with one
or more parents with a bloodline) I could find the mentioned info?

I do not have the Rulebook in front of me, but it is in the Rulebook. :)
Look in the section that deals with Bloodtheft. The heredity rules
either come right after the blood theft discussion or right before it.

Maintenance???
Hoi Sebas,
Hierdoor is
bloodline (i.g.v. Brand krijgt hij bloodline 11), maar blooded
characters krijgen slechts 1 (indien jouw bloodline lager of
bloodline score (i.g.v.
Roald
N.B. Ik vraag me af hoe Cuiraecen (chaotic good!!!) tegenover
verkrachting staat.
ben). Bovendien, we willen Breden zijn 'prima nocte'-recht
toch ook niet ontzeggen.

Page 29 Seb, as Jonathan predicted. But *I think* Roald did answer you
quite completely, uhm? ;-) Not that I can tell... Dutch, I suppose?
Intriguing, though I don't think our anglo friends got the accents ;-).

I think that if you reread the rules you will see that you add up the
#provinces and # holdings THAT YOU CONTROL.
Hope this helps.

Maintenance???
Hi Robin,
Sorry for that e-mail message in Dutch. I thougth that if I replied
to Sebatiaan that it would be to him directly, but instead it went to
everybody on this mailing list. I didn't know cause Sebastiaan
showed it to me just recently. However, the next time I will send a
message it will be in English so you can all respond.
I do not have the time now to translate the contents of the message
to Sebastiaan, but I will do so as soon as I can. Actually, it was
quite an interesting discussion: both Sebastiaan and me believe that
the rules for blood transfer are not really sufficient. But I guess I
have to go now.
I (or maybe Sebastiaan) will send a message soon,
Roald
