Thread: So what now??

    So what now??

Ok, the list has been too quiet lately. ;)

Now that the dust will begin to settle in the gaming industry; what do we
    Birthright fans do now??

Realistsic odds are that we won't see any new Birthright material until
after 3rd edition is underway and going strong. I'm going to wager that this
means no sooner than 2001, and likely a touch later unless we are really
    lucky.

Until then, it's just us and anything the designers let slip. That means
it's our game to develop and grow. While we must remind TSR's decision
makers constantly that they need to bring BR back, we can't just wait for
    them.

Sindre: How's the web page going??? I'm pumped at the idea of
www.birthright.net being the homepage for it all.

Everyone: What do we want to develop? Perhaps if we got organized as a group
and developed something on our own (by parceling out the tasks to
volunteers) we could continue things. Cerilia cannot die in our hearts, or
it'll never live in production again. It'll get forgotten and left behind.
    That's a bad thing. ;)

Just wanted to stir something up. Let's get motivated and contagious again!

The Birthright Revival is NOW! :)
When you've had the best, why buy the rest?

Well, a friend and I trying to get a Birthright MUX going (your an adventurer
in Roesone), but I don't think everyone can get involved in that (although if
you want to, please e-mail me, and we're currently looking for shell space).
Personally I would like to see the Birthright netbook be able to be downloaded
by catagory (one document for spells, one for monsters, one for realm spells,
etc.) But as for something everybody can work on might be a detailing of each
of the kingdoms of Cerillia like TSR did, but without the screens and such,
just some nice maps and descriptions.

Yeah, let's get working on the Aduria Expansion and fully flesh that out. We
should show TSR that we are willing to do the work of creating an expansion
ourselves if they won't. And I agree with your two ideas.

    So what now??

I think a Birthright Bestiary is a damn good idea - we can simply host it on
the Birthright.net server (assuming there is enough room - how much is there
by the way?). If people are interested in this, I would be more than happy
to organise it (ie. get all the submissions and put together HTML documents
for them and then simply send it off to whoever is creating the Webpage for
    Birthright.net).

ok first of all we need a creature template, so that way all the monsters follow
    the same format.....any takers?...
perhaps we could use the one on the Core rules 2.0..I'll check it out....

Why don't you just let us know when we can email you direct and ask for a
copy of the file. That way people who are not interested don't have to
    suffer through an attachment.

As for format, I'm a software hog so I can work with any format you choose.
I'd suggest just plain old TXT format so anyone can work with it. If you
want it to have a better font or whatever, that can be done when it's
converted to web pages I'd guess.
