IMC, the regent of Baruk-Azhik was a fighter-priest of Dumathoin, and they
get stoneskins as a granted power. Combined with his 10 hp for being a
regent, and his combat skills, (even without the +3 battle axe Orogbane,
which did not always use) he was the eqivilent of 2 levels over the rest of
the party. One the one hand, he was a natural leader because of his
superior abilities (the who blood powers is based on this premice), but it
was hard to challenge him as a combatant without putting other party members
at risk. Fighting Orog chiefs while other PC's fought the rank and file
would work. Finally I hit upon the idea of lots of little small attacks.
Once he activated his stoneskin, a dart throwing adversary who could toss
out three darts would neutralize the balance of his stone skins. Insects
also work. Rats.
