Birthright 3-D
I was wondering how high in the sky and deep into the earth a
province's influence extended.
Does someone with source or temple holdings need to have both feet on
the ground to access these powers, or are they available in a
(hypothetical) balloon, or if one has just fallen off a cliff or been
hurled from a catapult (some medieval catapults would hurl dead mules
and other presents into a besieged town).
My feeling, given old magic's link to life, is that a province's
influence is limited to roughly the range of life ... say into clouds,
and down through caverns until you get too close to magma, assuming an
approximately earthlike structure.
