No, my players tend to play good guys. In fact they are very bad at
playing bad guys, they either came to blows with each other or they
changed into a neutral or even good aligned party.

Anyway, I have a player that is changing into an ersheighlien. Her
character absolutely hates it, but due to a prophecy she feel that it is
her duty to save her family from a certain awnsheighlien. If you take a
look at the Adytum page, it is the White Falcon.

I always find it very troublesome to upgrade "powers", because of the
bloodform without giving too much. With NPC's this is not much of a
problem, but with PC's I must keep the power change on an equal level to
the other PC's. For instance the silver claws she has got, turn out to
be a lot more destructive then I originally thought. When properly
angered, she can be quite dangerous with them. Luckily I have a player
that role-plays very good and does not want to use these powers to often
in fear of changing quicker into a monster or starting a witch hunt on
her character. Then again, that is the reason why I chose her
    character...

Anyway, my advice is to be careful with the increase in power. I don't
know your other players, but if the awnsheighlien gets too powerful in
comparison to the other PC's, problems might arise. I stil remember the
short campaign in which I and a friend played 3rd lvl characters, while
1 other player played an 8th-level paladin. I can assure you that after
two sessions we demanded that either the paladin would go or we would be
allowed to play characters of similar level. The paladin simply took all
the credit. Though this might also have been due to the DM.

I do not have an Awnsheighlian but I do have an Ersheigh
Lady Fhiele the Lady of Fleetness, became a Centaur, but not a "Sylvan
centaur" which is what I consider a standard Birthright centaut, but a huge
half horse half human. The player both loved and hated it, she has many
powerful abilities she doesn't know how to use yet and is still "evolving"
the more she uses her power.

One of my players was to become an awnsheigh but that player left. (though I
ursurped his pc for a decent NPC) He will make a great villain later on one
who is trying to fight the corrupt blood within him struggling to do good
but falling to evil, he by the way is a grandchild of the Sphinx.

My campaign never lasted long enough to really develop things, but it
featured one developing ershegh, the Pitbull, from the players nickname, and
later an awshegh, the Amadan, a grandson of Rhuobhe. We also featured a
character who wound up in a gargoyle's body. (I know. I did it two months
before Rjurik Highlands came out. Weird.)

While this has never happened in our BR campaign, I do have so observations
    on the Awnshegh.
    A. The loss of humanity...Awnshegh tend to lose the very thing that
makes them human and thus able to even identify with others (the Siren is
THE exception). If one of the PCs even irritates the Awnshegh they should
probably prepare to be toast... Awnshegh are an amplification of evil.
    B. Awnshegh tend to be stay at home bodies. They more than regular
scions seem to be tied to their lands. Face it, if the Gorgon truly wanted
the throne he'd have it by now, unless SOMETHING is keeping him in his
domain. which brings my third and final
    note...
    C. Awnshegh domains are shaped (some would say corrupted) by their
presence to a larger degree than those of mortal regents.

I had a very similar situation my campaign. I had plans for a character
who was blooded Azrai to go through the stuggles to control his
humanity, but at the first sign of difficulty, the player abandoned his
character and had him do the 'noble thing'. He sailed away to die
fighting the Great Evil (which I had positioned off continent, and will
go into in another post), away from the people he cared about.
Obviously, the players encountered him later, still trying to stay good.
Unfortunately for the PCs, soon after they met him, he was slain by the
Diabolyk while they watched helplessly (hey, who better to work as a
head assassin for a new emerging evil kingdom?). Of course, he has a son
    no one knew about...

    Here is my reply:
yep, i had one of my PCs become an awnshegh.
the Queen of Tuarhievel had the BL from the Ruins book, and went a
few years doing bloodtheft to get up to 58 or so (a 3 point increase).
then she got romantically involved with a elf male who had been a
commoner, but who was at the right place at the right time to recieve
the BL from Robher Nichalier, the old Archprelate of the WIT, who
retired from the domain to make room for a new PC. anyway, his BL was
tainted by some strnge force, turning it from Anduiras to Azrai, and
turning him into an undead creature, like a death knight. anyway, he
knew something was happenning to him, so he invested his BL to a guide
he had employed while making his way through the Five Peaks, an elf,
and told him to run away and never come back for him, to let him die.
this elf ran back home, to Tuarhievel, where he came to the attention
of the Queen when the stories started floating around. she met him,
got into a relationship with him, then she had some bad political
troubles which put her into a very bad mood for a few months. during
which she murdered the elf for no real apparent reason other than she
felt like it. i remember, she had just lost a big chunk of her BL
because the Gorgon had taken away some provinces. she decided to
bloodsteal from this elf, and did so one evening, when dno one was
around. she passed it off by saying she walked in to her room to find
him stabbed and dead on the floor, she doesn't know how, blah, blah.
anyway, this whole evnt took me by complete surprise, since the regent
had been a little on the dark side, but not like this. anyway, she
took on the taint that had been corrupting the old human, and became
the Babhanshegh (Ba-van-shae). like a vampire, but drains life from
physical contact, not biting. also high charm abilities. always
female, and very attractive. it comes from the Celtic handbook.

she just recently went on a quest to have the taint removed. she
just barely succeeded. she had to go to a tower in Drachenward in
brechtur, and bath in the blood of a dragon found in the tower for 3
months. constantly. without getting out of the pool.
