Do you intend that your potential player/DM will run Birthright in your
    campaign
world, using any in house rules that you use. Or will it be a clean slate
    with
    a new beginning ?

Well most my players would use my house rules out of familiarity.
They are so familiar with them they don't always realize they aren't in the
rulebooks consciously (they know they aren't but they use them anyway) my
variant magic system for example to get rid of most of the Vancian feel.
However I don't mind playing "in the box" so to speak with straight AD*D
rules and just the BIrthright set...nothing else...
