    Actually, I remember hearing that the 'd' was silent, so I've always said
    something like "Galley Sea", like this ship and the water.

    Sidhe as in sidhelian and gheallie sidhe
    is "shee"
    as in Baign Sidhe
    and Cu sidhe
    and sluag sidhe
    its the word for Elf in real world Folklore in I beleive Gaelic.

    I think its sort of like "REE-ly SHE" But the 'r' is rolled like in french.

    Actually Sidhe is not. Sidh (no 'e', singular) refers to the fairy mound,
    not necessarily the inhabitants. Sidhe (pronounced in Gaelic as SHE-eh) is
    plural.

    Tuatha De Danann (TOO-ah day DANan) is the name of the the inhabitants.

    Waaaaay simplified, but I hope it answers your question.

    Funk and Wagnalls Standard dictionary says that the word sidhe and sid' are
    pronounced shee (and is indicative as being the name for burrows/hills from
    which the race took their name they originally were the aes side or the
    fir side (and were indeed the descendants of the Tuatha De Danaan who were
    defeated by the Milesians)
