[BIRTHRIGHT] -- Is the line officially dead?
You've got that right--I think I've seen more text get deconstructed on this
list than I did in graduate school :) At this point, I have no more
information than you do. Honest.
As far as the Book of Regency, Shadow World trilogy, BR hardcover, etc.--from
a personal standpoint, I would love as much as you folks to see these
released in some form someday. When the line went on hiatus, a full year's
worth of my work suddenly entered limbo. Creatively, that's very
disheartening--writers write because they hope their words will be read. To
have shaped and populated the Shadow World (in Blood Spawn), and then to know
that as long as that book is on hold those creatures exist only in *my*
mind--believe me, I'm as disappointed as you are! I would love to be able to
talk openly about what lies beyond the SW barrier, and how close (or not)
your ideas are to what we planned.
Until BR's status officially changes, I remain hopeful about its fate--and I
encourage you to be so, too.

Say, I don't think I have ever heard any details or explanation on what it will
exactly take for the BR status to be 'official changed'. If the line is out of
print, it can't be an increased sales volume. So if it's not a trade secret or
something, could either yourself or Ed enlighten us a bit here?? Please....
pretty please... ;)
Just what is it that the "Big Kahuna" needs before the BR line gets back on the
racks?

Yeah. I gotta couple of minions that I could lend out to help "encourage"
the appropriate personages. Sure, they don't get out much and they game an
awful lot, but they're big guys and REAL persistant. ;-)

Maybe all is not lost. I've just picked up a copy of the new AD&D
Tomes® adventure AXE OF THE DWARVISH LORDS, and behold, in Appendix
2: The Axe World to World has a section on using the adventure in
Birthight. Not only does this give information on placing the
adventure in a campaign, it also gives Domain Turn benifits of the
artifact. Plus, the BR section is as big as the Planescape and Mystara
sections, and slightly longer than the section for newly rereleased
Greyhawk.

COOL. That's the best news I've had in a while. Now I'll have to grab my
wallet and scamper out to the game shop. But before I do, do you have a
review of the set for us? Is it pretty good?
