And what`s behind Awnshegh #3?

Oh yeah, baby! :D He's already a demigod IMC as well!
Indeed, this is the focus OMC - that being blooded is much more than
just having fancy powers and women who will lay themselves at your feet,
no questions asked! :) Being blooded means one has the potential to
become a god(dess), just like the champions at Deismaar did.
And, IMC, The Serpent just found out how to complete the transformation
to Lesser Status ...
MWUHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!
Unfortunately for Mr. Hisser, Old Rockbutt's agents have discovered this
little secret of The Serpent; unfortunately for Stony Brain, The Serpent
knows that he knows that he knows. And when it comes to absolute
cunning and deception, *nobody* beats The Serpent. The Sphinx is the
only other blooded who knows of this secret, but he is being conned by
the Serpent too.
MWHUAHAHAAAAA!!!
Unfortunately for both of them, Azrai knows what the three of them are
up too ...
And He is NOT amused. :D
Cheers,
Darren

But if the serpent is really a demi-god that would violate the pact that
the new gods made never to be in physical form again, I think if he
really where a demi-god the other gods would force him off the plane.

1) The Serpent never signed any pact.
2) He hasn't ascended yet (I feel only Lesser status gets to go to
another plane).
3) They can't stop him - mostly because they: a) haven't realized that
he really IS a god yet (IMO, anyways) & (b) their own pact about taking
physical form prevents them from coming down to do anything about it
even if they did know; any proxies they send wouldn't be unable to beat
him either (again IMO only).

Even the New Evil gods signed the pacts so everyone would enforce the
rule anginst any new powers.

That is DM option what status is on what plane, however I've never heard
of any power of Demi and above staying on the prime material.

I think Gods would get the hint if he is granting spells to worshipers.
(b) their own pact about taking physical form prevents them from coming
down to do anything about it even if they did know; any proxies they
send wouldn't be unable to beat him either (again IMO only).
As far as I've noticed the Gods avatars are higher level than the
serpent in the BE book so they might stand a chance. Anybody good at
divination (which I assume gods are) would be able to tell his strengths
and weekness.

Diviniation means consulting a divinity for information. If your a god and
you have a question, what higher power are you proposing they consult?

But this very arguement would imply that the wizards who are Diviners are
actually priests of a twisted sort. Ones that don't know they are, or
worship
their gods.
I understand that the entymology of the word Divination means to ask for
divine assistance, but the game kinda ignores that to a point.
Course I'm making a small point there as I would agree that the other
gods would know it if someone ascended. Though I don't think they could
just force that person to leave the prime. Well they could, but not by
asking
somebody like the Serpent. It would take a war that threatened his base
of followers with extinction.

But thats the point - the new gods agreed NOT to send avatars to
Cerilia, right? Isn't an avatar a physical representation of the god on
a prime material plane (or non-home plane, for that matter)? I figured
they only put the stats there for when a priest casts that Transform To
Avatar spell or whatever in the back of the BoP ...
In regards to the last post, just like regents get to spend RPs to
defeat actions (like espionage), I assume there is a godly equivalent
too, so its not just cherry pie for the new gods - they are going to
have a tough time penetrating The Serpent's 'Realm'. At least, thats
the way I would play it.
Honestly, I don't think any of the new gods has much time to worry about
every awnsheghlien becoming a threat to them - and IMC, the new gods
aren't even sure it is possible! Sure they could make educated guesses
based on their own experience, but how many people does a scion have to
commit bloodtheft on to do it? Hundreds? Thousands? None of the new
gods IMC truly know this fact. As I said, only three beings in Cerilia
know that its actually within reasonable reach for most any scion - The
Sphinx, The Gorgon, and The Serpent. IMC, its only necessary to 1) have
at least 75+ bloodline strength (2) have a 'True' bloodline & (3) Have a
special investiture spell performed on the scion (which basically sucks
out bloodpower from a wide area around the center of the spell (IMC,
this power so far has come from Aebrynis itself, in The Serpent's case).
But The Serpent has found that the local area is not sufficient to gain
'Lesser' status, so he is going to have to look abroad for more
bloodpower, whether from scions or draining the Land ... This, of
course, is going to draw a LOT of attention, so naturally The Serpent is
biding his time for the right moment to ascend to godhood (when no one
can stop him from doing so, of course). What better way then to suck
the most powerful of all blooded scions into his coils --- The Gorgon!
(The Serpent figures this will be enough, to get Old Rockbutt's strength
and domain power ...)
Mwuhahaaaa!

mean that they know what they need to themselves. If a charecter asked
what is a weakness in an foe then the god could answer but if the god
wants to know I think he would know the answer without consulting
someone else.

They consult themselves, obviously.

Actually, I can think of a few (hope I'm right cause I haven't got my
books here) from various worlds.. Fharlaghan, Melikki (before avatar
series), Eldath (again before avatar)..
