Cool! The Magian must strike fear into the hearts of every inhabitant of
Cerilia! :) One question though: if he was such a major champion of Azrai,
why doesn't he have a great or true bloodline? Also, did anyone remember
that his Riders number 12 (so together with him the number would be 13)? A
connection?

Why would they have had to become blooded at Deismaar? From what you
just described, and from what I've thought about them, it sounds like Azrai
had already made them blooded _before_ Deismaar. So if the Magian is one of
these guys, he's definitely an awnshegh, one of the oldest in fact, older
than the Gorgon and the rest that got their blood at Deismaar.

I agree. I believe they were imbued with a tiny fragment of Azrai's essence
to allow them to cast True Magic. Afterall, Azrai had plenty. Enough to kill
6 gods and end up only mostly dead himself. And as we all know, GM's have
that nice chocolate-covered pill to rectify that. ];>

Did I write that little bit above? It sounds familiar ...

#1) He's lost something in his transformation to Lich status.
#2) I would say yes!
Cheers,
