    Managing a PbEM like game

    Hi all,

Maybe this topic is out of scope for this Mailing List, but...

So I recently moved and I am now far from my players. I used to play a
BR campaign. I want to restart one with the same players. My idea is to
do all the stuff dealing with Domains turns remotely, and for
adventures, I can go to my players.

Have you an idea of how can I manage the domain turns stuff. Maybe some
of you have developped programs to manage this in an efficient way. In
my idea it's a litlle bit like PbEM (except for adventures). Can you
bring my ideas or experience about this.

    Thanks a lot

    Regards

    Ludo

Exactly the way I do it :-) Except that the players come to me, instead
that I have to go to them. I would advise you to keep it action round
based. If you are doing adventures, turn based creates much trouble when
adventures intervere or take longer then expacted.

One of the things I like best about this, is the fact that it gives me
the oppertunity to prepare adventures based on my players goals. For
example, one of my players has been trying to slowly place herself as a
trusted agent of an enemy guildmaster and then in the end take the guild
over. The guildmaster is old and is looking for a good successor, this
gave me the oppertunity to create several adventures around it spread
over several months and now she is ready to be invested. Gives the
'espionage' action a lot more color.

I don't use any complecated programs. Just do it as you normaly should
do it: by good administration. I do use a homepage of the campaign to
give my players easy access to province levels, holdings and so on.
since I have been doing that, the questions have diminished a lot.
