Does anyone know what became of the Birthright products that were
scheduled for release but diddn't make it because the line was
canceled? Does TSR have any plans to release these products on line?
Thanks,
Austin

They were postponed, too. ---Except for one novel, which was converted into
a (gasp!) FR novel, hack, hack, choke...

The book is the Shadow Stone. If you're willing to mentally correct the
setting to what it was meant to be, somewhat. If not, you'll find they
author or editor or whoever adapted the book, tried and almost succeeded in
making the book fit the Realms. Will be interesting if the events in that
book are worked into the next set of BR products, assuming such actually
get put out.

What actually happened in The Shadow Stone? What was the plotline?

No, they're looking for a cost-effective way to release them. In the
meanwhile, all of the products are postponed until further notice - ie
indefinitely.

It is still definelty worth reading The Shadow Stone though. It may be
set in the FR, but there is a lot of Birthright still in it. When I read
it all I had to do was imagine changing a few names and it still felt
like it was in Cerilia.

Umm, well lets see if I can remember.
Very basically.
There is this Half-Elf named Aeron who is attacked by these noble bully
who want to cut of his ears. He stabs a couple of them and is forced to
flee into the forest where he meets this elf. The elf realises that
Aeron is blooded (although of course it doesn't say this in the book,
but I can read between the lines) and trys to teach him magic.
Umm.. there is a lot more in between here, but basically he ends up at
the college of magic in Anuire (changed to Cimbar) where he has to
survive the plots of the students, and the evil plans of one of the lost
(changed to some silly FR thing).
There is action in the shadow world, and some neat bits of the college
of magic and Elven magic. I recommend it...

Actually, they're probably looking for a way to make _any_ money off
them, since they lost money on several of the BR products. You make it
sound like a bad thing.
