    Bards and Realm Spells...

Are there any rules for bards learning and using wizardly Realm Spells?
Can they use them or not? How about rangers and paladins? Can they
use priestly Realm Spells? Or are Realm Spells a privilege strictly
reserved to wizards and priests? What about source holdings?
Can non-wizards create and rules source holdings? If not, can bards?
And what gods can rangers worship? Are they all from the faith or
    Eric exclusively?
Just a few questions. I really wonder if there's anything official on the
    matter...

PS: I don't have a copy of neither the BoM nor the BoP, if that's any
    help...

If you are looking for official rules, then the answer is, "No, bards,
rangers and paladins aren't allowed to use realmspells".

    > Or are Realm Spells a privilege strictly

    Yes

    > What about source holdings?

Only wizards can create source holdings, but a non-wizard can inherit a
source-holding, but can't do anything with it.

Rangers can worship any god who allows NG worshippers.

Sorry, no to all questions (unless you, the DM, likes to inflict pain on
    yourself).

    > Or are Realm Spells a privilege strictly reserved to wizards and priests? What about source holdings?<

    Yes and thats right.

    > Can non-wizards create and rules source holdings?<

    Nope.

    >If not, can bards?<

    Neither can they.

Good question - I would have to look that one up ...

According to the official rules, no.

Again, not if you stick to the official rules. However, as I have
stated before and will do so again (and probably earn some flak
again), I would allow paladins (and paladins only) to cast realm
spells according to their casting level, starting at 9th lvl, from
the four spheres they have access to. My reasoning is that paladins
get full regency from temple holdings, and also has to do with the
    way I portray paladins.
I would advise not doing this for bards (they are already quite
    powerful).

    > What about source holdings? Can non-wizards create and rules source

Nope to all three. Non-wizards can only inherit source holdings. If
they own them, they can restrcit access to the, and allow friendly
    wizards to tap them.

I don't think there's any rule about this, but I think most (if not
all) rangers are followers of Erik. There is no other god of nature
in BR. Maybe a Khinasi ranger could worship Avani and see her light
as the source of all life...

Neutral Good? That doesn't make sense. Rangers can just as well be
Chaotic or Lawful as Neutral Good. Just as long as they're good, it's all
    the same.

Can't remeber what I was thinking of when I wrote that. It should have
been, the fait must allow worshipers from that form of good alignment,
which would disqualify a chaotic good ranger to get powers from a
religion which only allows lawful good worshipers. The only exception
would be elves in Cerilia, who don't have to belive/worship a god as
they get their powers from the nature.

Then how would an elven ranger get his priestly spells? Anyone ever
    thought of that?

Through his own belief in nature. Belief can make funny things
happen. Actually, 1st ed. had rules for this, but I think
casting first and second level spells was solely a matter of belief,
and only higher level spells had to be granted by a god.
