I haven't had time enough to think about your other questions, but this one...
Technically, no matter how much they love each other, Aeric Boeruine and
Darien Avan can NOT have children. Sheesh, some people run really odd
campaigns.

No, seriously(though I did like your joke), It was mentioned at the end of WAR
that there would be arrangement between the Boeruine's and the Avan's for the
production of a viable heir to the Iron throne. Did this fall apart of the
next few years or did it happen and old stony butt eat the baby for dinner?

I think this was going to be covered in a book entitled Siege, but
when BR was put on hold by TSR, all the novels in development were either
cancelled, Falcon and the Wolf, or changed to FR, (can't remember the name
right now). I did like the characters from those novels, particularly the
Half elf and the insights into how a halfbreed would be treated in different
areas.
On the subject of Bloodlines, there's stuff in the rulebook about
how the children's bloodlines will be the average of the parent's scores and
the higher of the strength for derivation. Then when Avan or Boeruine are
about to pass on they do an investiture and the son or daughter is brought
up to the level of the ruler. There are a few places where this seems
weird, eg Aubrae Avan having the same Bloodstrength as her father, so I
guess her mother had 60-70 as well.
Or you could have people with artifacts like Brenna's favour or the
crown of Anuire or one of the sielsheghlien (? BoM)

ROFL!! Heh. Wasn't the suggestion that Aeric and Darien love each
other what started this whole feud?!? :)
Seriously, I think that is why there is no Emperor now. Boeruine has
marriage ties to the Iron Throne and claims that they are as strong a
claim as Avans' claim of bloodrights to the Iron Throne. Same with
Diem.
Anyways,
Cheers,

I seem to have sparked an interesting discusion on the passing of
bloodlines to ones childeren. Which I think is mostly done by the
investure action. According to the rules it either raises someone
bloodline to hight of the donor (who looses everything). When the donors
bloodpower is lower, then the reciever will rise by 1. This would seem a
good reason to protect your father or mother (depending who has got the
higher bloodline) until your parent is ready for the investure act. This
is especialy true in the case of characters with ancient powerful
bloodlines, since there are only that many.
But my real question was regarding illegemate childeren, because I might
want to use that against a PC. Not that the character has got an
illegemate child, but because the mother realy believes the PC is the
father (don't you love those illusions :-) ).
