    Create Holding Q

Non-regent scion wishes to create holding in province. How does he do this?
Does he need a priest to invest? What of a non-regent priest scion? Does he
need a regent priest to invest him?

All he needs is 1GB. He rolls 10+ for success and, viola, he's a regent. He can
then rule that holding up to a level 1 at no RP cost the next month, but it will
cost him 1GB more. He will begin collecting RP and GB the next domain turn from
his little holding, assuming that he is of the proper character class to do so.

The next step is to declare oneself Emperor and launch and attack upon the
Gorgon! Tremble, Black Prince, before my Guild(1)! Tremble!

Doesn't he then need an investiture spell, to tie himself to the holding
mystically? At least, that's the way I've always played it.

To create a holding all a scion needs is 1 GB (2000 rp). Of course
without RPs there is only 50% chance of this succeeding (less if other
    regents oppose it).
Also to rule this level 0 holding to level 1 cost only 1 GB, so it is
possible for a non-regent scion with 4000gp to spend to become a regent
in two turns. I used something like this in my campaign.

Nope..no investiture needed to invest youself with a holding you
created..only when you are trying to take one from someone else..

Jeez - if that's true, then I've been playing it wrong for the last 3
years. Man, don't tell my players! :)
