Well aside from the fact that Polymorph would make an exelent Great blood ability, I have
a question concerning Polymorph and Awnsheglien (or Ensheglien). What would happen if a
wizard Polymorph Othered an Awnsheglien? Would the spell fail? Would the Awnseglien
change into the new form but begin the process of Awnsheglienizing (nice word) all over
again? This is assuming that the create failed its saving throw.

Well, also assuming that the Awn. doesn't have magic resistance, either
(which most of the greater ones do), I would probably rule that the
Polymorph would be successful, but rather than being permanent, I would
follow the rules laid out for changes in the 8th level spell "Polymorph
Any Object," with the caveat that "awnsheighlein" is its own "class" and
so polymorphs are never permanent [but can be very long if the wizard is
    clever: change the Gorgon into an earthworm: duration of a few rounds;
change the Gorgon into a bull (assuming you can get past magic
resistance): duration days or maybe even weeks]. I would probably rule
that any transformation that negates a significant offensive or defense
ability deserves a decrease in duration. For example, polymorphing the
Gorgon into something w/o eyes, which negates his "stoning" attack, would
reduce the duration of the change.

You might even rule that awnsheighlein who possess the magic resistane
blood ability are simply not affected by the 4th level spell, but rather
that the 8th level spell must be employed to effect the change.
