    Here`s a question

I think it would depend on the deity in question for instance I might
see Haelyn helping a follower of Neserie (his Wife) or Cicuerian (sp)
(His Son). It would seem to be less likely that Avani would help a
follower of Haelyn due to the annimsoty that once exsisted between those
    to Dieties.

From what I gatherd from the BOP I would say that the goods of Cerillia
aren't praticulary fickle, at least not compared with say the greek
dieties, but are not overly apt to act in any overt manner.

I would have like to see the reletionship of the Dieties definded a
little better then it was. We have Allies listed under their entry but
no real description of their releationships with one another.

So this was an overly lng answers to say that it would. IMHO, have to
be taken on a case by case basis.

    Here`s a question

    Hey y'all -

I have a question, if anyone would be kind enough to answer for me ...

Would a god of Cerilia grant special favours to a mortal that worshipped
another one (that has a good relationship with said 'donor' god)?

IE: would Haelyn help out a priest of Nesirie if she was on a quest to
save a noble prince? Or, would a paladin of Cuiraecen be able to use
Haelyn's Rampart (that artifact thingy in the back of the BoP), with all
    special powers?

Or are the gods of Cerilia fairly particular (and sticky) about other
    gods messin' with 'their' flock?

    Cheers,
    Darren

You'd have to look real closely at the specifics of the situation. They
would certainly have to be listed as Allies, and at that, you would need to
check and see that this alliance did not include any non-mutual enemies.
(god X likes god Y, but X hates Z, while Y is neutral to Z....)

That and your own discretion concerning the situation.

As far as artifacts though? In my mind the use of an artifact is highly
specific. So if the Rampart says that the wielder must worhsiip Haelyn...
then that's the way it MUST be.

    Good Gaming

I tend to play most pantheons in a manner similar to the Romans. Maybe not as
jealous and fickle, but each God has their own interests in mind when they 'do
their thing.' Even though Avani & Haelyn don't get along well, I would think that
each would help the followers of the other (or at least appear to
help...muahhhhhaaaa ha) if, by doing so, the aims of said God were served in some
way. (Or the interests of the other would be hampered..... double muahhhhaaaa ha!)

I have begun designing 'personalities' for the BR Gods IMC based on the
descriptions of the Book of Priest craft, and can post my finished product if any
are interested. I have found (in my previous custom campaigns), that if you assign
a few 'human qualities' to each god, then their attitudes & behaviours become
quickly defined, and it becomes appearant who would help who and why.

Just some sleepless ramblings from a charm spell which I seem to be suffering
    from...

MUWHAHAHAHAA ! Good little apprentice - nice to see that I pick the
    smart ones! Hehehehe. Heh. :D

(btw, guy, I would like to see what you have got so far - I have done
this as well, and would like to compare notes. Actually, perhaps after
we finish the temples in the IC, we can post your take of the Gods onto
the BROCP homepage (if you want to) - it might help define the
personalities of some of the faiths in the IC (or beyond, for that
    matter).

    Cheers,

I guess I will be alone on this maillist to have this opinion:

The gods will not help worshipers of other faiths. The only eception would
be if the god would gain more of helping the heretic than the hereticts god.
This for I have alwyas thought that the gods powers are in relation to the
number of worshipers they have, the gods power comes from his worshipers and
it's this power which he/she gives back to the priests of the faith. By
giving help to a heretic (spl?), you will have less power to give your
    priests.

There is nothing new about this, all the FR gods has been normal mortals
