Alternative systems - literally
Recently one of the members of the Alternity list posted an announcement
that he was converting AD&D to the Alternity rules system. For those of
you interested in a more realistic feel to the game, while still retaining
some of the elements of adventure, I would suggest it.
Alternity is hardly the most accurate of gaming systems, and a far cry from
the most realistic, but it works, //seems// quasi-realistic, and //feels//
heroic and adventurous. As much as we all may quibble about how
streamlined and well made rules are - the most important thing (at least to
me) in a game, is how does it feel when it comes down to dice and you start
rolling your life away?
I'll send something this way when he gets it finished, if anyone is
interested.
