    >I'm starting to think that since we all love Birthright so much, maybe we should
    >try and organize some kind of internet "petition" & submit it to TSR.

I think it's a damn fine idea. If nothing else, it will make TSR aware that
there is an *intense* (and I mean *really* intense) interest in Birthright.
If they know WHY we like it so much, and specifically WHAT we don't like (so
it can be eliminated), maybe they can market it from this perspective. And,
hand in hand with this, our thoughts need to be "put in writing", as
suggested by someone else a little while ago. What I mean by this is that
the decision makers at TSR (or WotC) need to be made aware of our thoughts.

I think the Online City Project is a fantastic example of how much we do
like Birthright, so the more people who get involved with it, the better.
TSR is fully aware of this project (this is a fact, not IMO), and may sit up
and listen if we get a substantial number of people backing it.

If we do want to, collectively, let TSR know our thoughts, it has to be done
properly. As Morgramen said, there are countless sites out there with "save
XXX" on them, but that is not enough. We need to provide feedback, not
simply "save BR because we like it". And this must all be done properly.
Which means someone will probably have to "oversee" the 'resurrection'.

The amount of times I have read about people not being able to get hold of
some BR supplement (I have been trying to get the BoM for more than 4
months, without success), speaks for itself - the demand is there, but where
    is the supply??

Just some (very disorganised) thoughts of mine on the subject. Cheers all,

    Simon

I am more than willing to 'organize' the thoughts & write them up. I'm not very wise
in the ways of the legalities of it all, or how to organize the actual 'start up' of
such a campiagn, however, I can write a pretty mean 'formal letter'.

I think you've coverd some good starting points. I would also suggest
letters to the Dragon and Dungeon and any third party or indepentdent
    mags for the RPG world.

My qestion for the save BirthRight poster is are we going to have any
unified graphic or just do what we can on an individual basis?

Tell me, DKEvermore - (and this is in no way meant in a derogatory fshion)
What is the BEST way to preserve Cerilia? The longer it takes TSR to put
something on the shelves, the more our campaigns grow apart. I admit - I
HAVENT bought all the "Player's Secrets of.." line. I DO have "Sword and
Crown", "Sword of Roele", "Warlock of the Stonecrowns", and "King of the
Giantdowns". I even bought that goofy boxed set, "Naval Battle Rules". I
traced the big poster map so I can make Domain Tracking Maps that cover a
WIDE area :) I put my money where my mouth was, though, and I feel that
they should either tell us Aebrynnis is DONE, under revision, OR being
re-tooled, with a warfare system that befits Birthright's scale. I have
been waiting for BR's "exciting new format" ever since I first heard about
it. I pray they dont let me down...

Allrighty then, I guess I'll take it upon myself to try and organize
something. About the only thing I can come up with off the top of my head
would be to start collecting names/letters & email, write up a big 'shnazy'
letter, put 'em in an envelope & sending it first class to TSR central.
Anyone of you guys got any other ideas
Here are some other things I though might work:
    1) Every concerned BR fan out there, takes a copy of a "Save BR" poster to
their local hobby shops, and ask for it to be put up on the walls for other s
    to sign.

    2) We all write up a short, diplomatic, and friendly email, and send them to
'the Big Cheese' at TSR, either on a specified date, or gradually over a
course of weeks. (Imagine receiving 1 save BR letter a day, every day, for a
month or more.....) This could be a form letter which is sent to everyone on
this list, who prints it off, signs it, mails it, & then emails the form letter
off to friends, who email the letter off to friends, who email.....

    3) Same as idea number one, except we get all of the folks with BR web pages
to put a "Save BR guest book" on their site. Then, any 'surfers' who wish, can
sign there names to the petition as well.

That's about all that I have thought of so far. (I'm afraid I wasn't around in
the 60's, and organized protests are not my forte; I'm usually much better at
    grumbling and procrastinating...... :)

    Comments? Suggestions?

    Keith
