[BIRTHRIGHT] More Elves
Has anyone in the "Elves, Elves, Elves, Elves" section of the stands tried
just increasing the ratings of Elven Provinces, and populating them a bit
more with Wizards? I think that might be enough all by itself to even them
up with the humans and Awnsheiglen. I think if I were going to try to
resurrect the Elves, though, I would want an all-elven party of PCs, though

Yes, this is being contemplated, as all of my players have read the
Silmarillion and most would love a shot at imitating Feanor, and trying to
make better decisions.

[BIRTHRIGHT] More Elves
You are a delight...I love hearing that someone had previously conceived of
my idea LOL. however, I read the Silmarillion so long ago, that I no
longer remember what its about - EXCEPT (and powers save me if Im wrong...)
the Silmarils are gem stones....IMPORTANT gemstones, BUT gemstones
nonetheless. My father read Mr tolkien's works to me as a young laddie,
so, please, be gentle with me...
BTW - favorite part of the Hobbit - "Eleventy-first birthday"
Remember "Smaug"? The arrow that pierces his heart....is that maybe the
basis of the "called shot"? Also - ive already toyed with the idea of
making my elves a little more powerful than the "official" stuff says.
Although the elves are chaotic,my take is that they pretty much just want
to be left alone from now on, but, WOW - I want them to make a PC PAY for
messin with them. Im not gonmna have my Elves runnin wild, murdering
humans by the hundreds or anything, but I do feel the need for the Elves to
be able to hold their own in my campaign. In short - the Elves arent on
their way OUT...they ARE a potential ally for ANY PC willing to take the
time and effort necessary to ease the wounds from the old days of the
Elf/human wars. A PC that ignores them...well, NOT an option. A good
role-player should ALWAYS be on the look-out for a buddy, IMHO.
