Contesting provinces
Could someone *please* answer my question? You don't need to speak with
great authority, any ideas will do :)

Okay, since i think i know where this could have come from, i don't know
how much weight my idea's will carry :)
But about your question - I would say that the loyalty HAS to be
rebellious to be invested peacefully. If the ruler of the province
agitates it to poor or higher, it cannot be invested. Now, if it is
contested then agitated, i would say that would be similar to contesting
it back :) of course, the contesting regent could use some RP's to
"anti-agitate".
Just my thoughs, and a couple GB's

I would have to say the the province is still contested because the ruling
regent has done nothing to stop or counteract this action. Hwoever,
befause the loyalty has been raised above poor, by the rules it cannot be
invested peacefully.

Actually, the rules say a province can be peacefully contested if its law
holding is at (0) AND the province's loyalty is poor or rebellious. If the
Law Holding in the Province isn't (0), the Province cant be peacefully
invested.

It depends...is each action by each Regent successful? How do the two
Regents and the Priest who is to perform Investiture compare to each other
in the order of Domain Initiative?
>Does the province stay contested? Can it still be invested?
The Province, if successfully contested, generates no regency or GBs until:
a) its ruler is divisted
b) ends the Contest by creating a Law Holding
c) increases the Provinces Loyalty
In your example, the Regent Contesting rulership of the Province has
succeeded, so, if he has a priest Regent ready to perform Investiture, he
can attempt to Invest the Province during his next Action Round, as long as
BOTH the contesting Regent AND the Priest Regent go before the current
ruler in the order of Domain Initiative . If the Province's loyalty is
rebellious, then an Agitate action alone wont suffice to keep the
contesting Regent from trying again, though...

Let me also add that the loyalty of the Province need not be raised "above
poor"...raising it TO poor is enough to end the Contest, but the contesting
Regent is still free to perform Contest again in the next Action Round. MY
question about this scenario is wether this use of Contest destroys the Law
(0) the current ruler controlled in the Province. I would assume so, or
else Ruling the Law (0) to a Law (1) would end the contest, as well as the
methods listed above.
2) Does it leave the Province uncontrolled?

OK. Here's my opinion, since the rules are not clear.
If you contest a rebellious province, then the rulership reverts to no
one (ie, the province is contested). It takes a Rule action for the
regent to regain it. If the regent raises loyalty, then it makes it
impossible to be contested again, but the regent can not collect RP or GB
from the province until a Rule action is successful.

Since the rules state that a successfully contested province remains
contested until the ruler plays a successful rule action my answer would be
yes to the first question and yes to the second.

Contesting provinces
Its not a Rule action that ends a Provincial Contest. The Province remains
Contested until its current ruler is divested of the Proince, the current
ruler successfully Creates a Law Holding, or the current ruler increases
the Province's Loyalty. Succeeding a Rule action works to save Contested
Holdings, not Provinces.
