    Lost province of Markazor

Hi all. I was just looking at my tracking map for Anuire, and I noticed a
strange thing. There appears to be a forested province in northwest Markazor
which has no name, stats, or anything. It's not listed as a province in
Ruins of empire, though it clearly appears on every map I've seen. It's
located south of Bhindraith, and northeast of Torien's Watch. Has anyone
else noticed this, or does anyone know the story about it? I'm wondering if
there's an "official" answer, but I'll definitely settle for the list's
    thoughts on the matter.

    Thanks,
    Jamie

    >>As has been mentioned on the list before, that province is part of Markazor
but appears to have been missed in the original Ruins of Empire.

    Two solutions:
1)The BR computer game Gorgon's Alliance calls it Lost Realms- you might
    use that name.
    2) the BR Netbook has a realm done up for it called Skyewode- that works too.

    Have fun with it.

Well, damn. I have never really noticed this before. I always focused
on the other regions, really. In the Birthright: The Gorgon's Alliance,
that province is aptly named "Lost Realm". Maybe perpetuating this name
is acceptable? I've seen somewhere (netbook, perchance) where a PC took
over this province, rebelled from Markazor, and set up a kingdom.
Unlikely, but neat. Anyways, that campaign named this province, but I
never figured out where it was until your posting.

    Lost province of Markazor

I was asked about that one by my Tuarhievel player. We decided that it was
one of those very rare pieces of land throughout and around Cerilia that
no-one has yet claimed. For whatever reason either claim had been made,
but no province created, or there was a province but it suffered a fate
    similar to that of Siddeath.

FYI - if you don't have the Tuarhievel Player's Secrets book you woulndn't
know anything about Siddeath. In essence a powerful Sidhe wizard took
control of the mebhail in Siddeath and cast a very strong (and still
unrecorded) realm spell that opened a massive rift in the Shadow World.
This was done to stop the rampagin armies of old Stony next door. The
unfortunate thing was that the SW inhabitants attacked /everybod/, and the
spell kind of backfired. Now the province is half in Cerilia, half in the
SW. The only living inhabitant is the wizard who has acquired the title
"The Lich" - I can't remember if he's awnsheghlin or maybe ersheghlin, but
he isn't normal, and he hasn't spoke to the Tuar regent in over two hundred
    years.

I prefer to say that it was just left out by those tight-fisted printing
contractors, at TSR's expense, and just made it part of Markazor :)
