    Priests get Realm Spells.
Priests of Eric get Realm Spells
Preists of Haelyn get realm sspells.

    Why not Rangers and Paladins?

I'd assume Paladins cast realm spells like priests but what about our
    ragers?

The rulebook doesn't go into very much depth with rangers. One would
assume they worship Eric, nature as a force, or in the case of a Sea
    Ranger: Nesirie.

I'd like some ideas about Warrior Realm spells (not including
    fighters!).

of course, unblooded ones would be unable to cast such spells.

This one has been beaten around the tree and/or asked quite a bit.

Rangers and Paladins do NOT get realm spells. Only a true mage or a priest
gets realm spells. I believe even Ed and Carrie have voiced their opinion
about this one--that they just don't get them.

Hmmm. I'm against it. Here are my arguments:

    1. The nature of a realm spell. It depends on what you think a realm spell
is. Is it just a character spending a month of time casting the lower level
spell that the realm spell is based on dozens of times, or do you think realm
spells are 10th level magic (or 8th level in the case of priest spells) and,
therefore, beyond the abilities of a ranger or paladin, who can cast spells up
to 3rd and 4th levels respectively. Personally, I can see arguments for both
sides here. I think realm magic is a combination of both these things, and
outside of the abilities of rangers and paladins.

    2. Game balance/symantics. Casting realm spells would give rangers and
paladins a decided advantage, which I don't think they should get. It would
make priests less important in the scheme of things. Besides, rangers and
paladins are a fighter subclass, they just plain shouldn't be able to cast the
big magic spells that rival character classes that are more dedicated to magic.

    3. Rangers shouldn't be able to cast realm spells because they are not
particularly tied to a holding that is attributed to magic. You could make the
argument for paladins, as they gain RPs from control of temples, but rangers
gain RPs from guilds. It's hard to imagine them martialling the mystical
forces of the general store to cast realm spells.

I rule that rangers and paladins get realm spells once they reach their
'spellcasting level' (8 and 9, respectively). They get only spells from
their allowed spheres, and only those of the maximum level allowed (3 for
    rangers, 4 for paladins).

Well, the reason that Paladins and Rangers don't get realm spells is that it
would be unbalancing. As in both of them get the same regency as fighters,
plus a bonus (paladins get 1/2 regency for temples, rangers get 1/2 regency
for guilds). I don't think that handing them the major benefit of being a
mage/priest would be that good for game balance.

Where do rangers get thier power to cast spells from?

I think they should get realm spells three levels after they can cast
    spells.
