Hi everyone,

There have been a lot of things happening with the Online City Project
lately, and since there hasn't been an update for a while, here goes...

1. ******** Homepage URL changed *********

Due to the huge increase in traffic in the past month (more than quadrupled)
the site has had to be moved from the old location. It was temporarily moved
to a Geocities address, but not being able to create directories was very
inconvenient and it was moved again, to my web site. The CORRECT URL for the
OCP homepage is:

http://www.nw.com.au/~slg/OCP/

Please change all of your bookmarks to the new address. There will be
pointers at the old homepages, but if you used a separate bookmark to bypass
the title page, then you will have to change that too. In addition, the
correct address will appear in my signature in all my postings to this list.
Also, due to the number of recent moves, please be patient if any of the
links are missing, as these are still being checked. Please let Darkstar
know about any missing links (email hoss@box.net.au)

However, this move is not permanent, especially if the site grows a lot.
There is quite a lot of room to grow, and hopefully the site is relatively
fast for those outside of Australia as well (please drop me an email if it
is very slow). BUT, we still need a permanent home for the pages, and if
anyone can provide web space (about 1 MB at the moment, but might grow to 5
MB) on a reasonably fast server, then please email me and we can discuss it.

2. New Projects:

The following new information has been put up at the homepage (Note the
links shown below will take you straight to the individual pages, but you
will have to come back out to the main OCP page to navigate around):

- - An introduction to the background of the City: details the city
background, cultures, customs, layout/map, important festivals and holidays,
population, currency & coinage, laws, etc.

- - Magic Project #1: Gwrfelling Berisman, an NPC magic-user who is the
'eyes-and-ears' of the City. You'll have to go to the homepage to read more.

3. New link from the Main TSR Birthright Homepage

We have organised for a link to the project to be put up on the TSR
homepage, and we suspect this is where a lot of the increased traffic has
come from. Many thanks to Ed Stark for his help with arranging for that.

Well, that's all folks. As always, feel free to drop me an email if you have
any questions/queries. Cheers,

Simon
