Pre-Deismaar intervention

I think that is exactly the reason why the humans won. Consider a
group of six odd gods cooperating to help their people make it in the world.
Now consider a bunch of godless little pointy-eared guys running around
making it hard for the gods'children. What do you think the gods would do in
such a situation? Since there would be no real danger of starting an
interpantheon war, the gods would probably just fry the little pointy-eared
guys. Wouldn't you?

Fair enough, sure the gods would be tempted to intervene directly. I just
object to people saying the humans won because they had clerical magic and
numbers. Whereas I feel that immortality and wizardry make up for clerical
magic and numbers.
