Well I would have to say that it was just a layout error, as the picture representing
storm holtson is that of a male elf (the ears and fine features give it away) whilst the
picture for Aelwynn, Master of the Lluabraight Hunt is that of a bearded human. So
obviously the two have just been laid down by mistake. Interesting though is that the
picture on pg. 68 of the Rjurik Highlands book that could be Storm Holtson bears
absolutley no resemblance to the picture of old stormy in the 'Players Secrets of
Stjordvik' (pg 26). Additionally Stormy is listed as having a bloddline strength of 23
in the Stjordvik book as opposed to 28 in the Rjurik Highlands book.
Gotcha now Anthony and Doug.
P.S. I don't actually care, both products are otherwise of a superior quality and I
enjoy the region immensely. Quick question though. How do people account for the wall
in Stjordvik. Does it cost 1 GB per month to maintain as per a normal fortification,
does it count as a castle or fortified holdings? Also do the Jarls in the Highlands
control their provinces to the extent that they collect Regency and tax for the province
and then pass it on to the higher lord in a loose vassalge arrangement?

Er, sorry, but no. The person pictured on pg. 68 is an elf (look at
the ears. The one on pg. 69, whoever he is, might be an elf, but I
don't think so. The Storm Holtson picture from Players Secrets
doesn't look like any of them, though.
Perhaps Lluabraight elves can grow beards?

I count it not as a castle, but rather as a manifestation of the Build
Monument Domain action (which is a netbook product), with the benefit of
stopping the advance of all enemy troops at the wall, even if their normal
rates of movement indicate that they could travel farther during a War
Move (i.e. Cavalry or Wolf Riders who could normally travel two provinces
are instead stopped at one province by the presence of the wall. I also
would give defending units who used the wall (they would actually have to
be manning it as their "job" for the turn or war move) get a +1 to their
defense score, negated by enemy units which successfully break through the
wall.
Also do the Jarls in

That was my understanding of it, yes. I often use such lower-level
nobility to "represent" the physical manifestation of law and province
holdings for role-playing purposes.
