Perhaps we're just more used to diplomacy than others. After all who
wants to start a continent spanning conflict (besides the Gorgon)?

Or the "Racist, Imperial Elven" armada arguments on the
Spelljammer list. And how long has /that/ been out of
    print?

I agree with what has been said here, but what seems to be forgotten is that
this forum is for ideas on how to expand your horizons, I've had some members
of my group come to me and say, "but they said that.....", I'm very willing to
listen to new ideas but if ANY rule or idea whether it is from the book or not
doesn't fit with my style or the way I have a particular campaign set-up then
it only gets in the way. Everything is up to the GM's interpretation. So be
open-minded use what you like and don't forget about the rest, you never know
when you may wake up and hey, that really is a good idea. You can do whatever
you want when its your game and everyone is having fun.

Hey, what can we say, BR is just the best and attracts only the best
    role-players, right?
