Do what I would do in these situations: pull out one of the
supplements then carefully study all of the artwork. Now, visualize a
picture of that style, and put what you imagine that creature being into
that picture. Does it seem to fit? or is it some how out of place?
If it doesn't fit in then don't give up. Toy around with the
creature, modify its appearence, and if neccessary its stats until it does
fit.

So wolves and worgs exist on Cerilia. Has anybody found any evidence to
suggest that dire wolves or winter wolves do as well? I have an
adventure idea what requires dires wolves, so I was just wondering....
I could, of course, simply add them in my campaign, but I'm looking for
some sort of textual validation.

I believe that it was mentioned somewhere that goblins (small) use Dires as
cavalry. I also believe that Winter Wolves do exist in the far north, i.e.
Rjurik and Vosgard.

Winter wolves are mentioned and stats given in the Stjordvik DSB. They
can not only be found in Stjordvik, but also in other Rjurik and Vosic
territories as previously mentioned.

What about Thaele. Winter & Dire wolves could be found in that land, if
not in Cerilia. Though there are certainly enough really cold regions in
the north of Cerilia where they might be found.
