Funny. I have always seen Conan as a Dual Classed Human. He was a
nimble fighter for many years while a slave (see the first movie for
details). However, once he was free and on his own he switched classes
over to a Thief as he learned that might doesn't win every time. So now
he is a powerful thief (ST 18+) with a big sword (long sword +2 at
least) who is quick and has nimble fingers (DEX 15 or 16) as can be
evidenced by his use of his sword.

Of course he could also have been a palidin of Crom (sp?) all along and
has been given the thief ablilties (at least some of them) in lue of the
priest spells and the turn undead ability. New palidin kit anyone?

    Just a few thoughts,
    A.

Um, doesn't he need a 17 Dex to Dual class, or is that just a local rule
    we use?

    Sometimes I forget these things.

There is no way Conan is a Paladin of Crom... In Conan: The Barbarian, his
archer friend and he are discussing thier Gods... Conan himself admits that
Crom rarely answers his prayers... I think Conan is a fighter with the
barbarian kit from The Complete Book of Fighers... In fact, I think that kit
was modeled after Conan himself. I think that is a bastard sword he is using
    too...

Anyway, I have a question concerning Birthright... I play Tuarhievel and own
the Players Secrets of Tuarhievel sourcebook... My DM went through and read
it and loved the storyline of Savane and Fhielerane(sp)... I am constantly on
the lookout for The Gorgon... It seems as if I do not do something soon, ol'
Prince Raesane is going to get midievel on my butt. Not good. My character
is a Fighter/Wizard Elf ruling Tuarhievel for Savane since she has had many
attempts on her life. The party, the NPCs (especially Tara) agree that The
Gorgon must be destroyed... the question is- How?

I was wondering if any PCs in any of my fellow BR Discussion Listers campaigns
    have actually destroyed The Gorgon...

We usually stay away from completing big world-shaking events because a
sourcebook or novel usually comes out on the event in question (we are former
    FR players...)

Also, I want to create a crystal palace in old elf style... I know that is
not BR-like, but I want to do it anyway... Any ideas on how to do this?

    Thanks, guys...

i don't think it would be wise to kill old Gorgy. I am a Pc not DM and my
point of view concerning vanquishing the Gorgon all relate to methods of
magically imprisoning him. Flesh to Stone will not work but some sort of
Temporal Stasis would. However, he is known to be magic resistant so a group
of wizards barraging him with shape/form altering magics would cause him to
succumb to at least one of them. Thing is, how do you recruit such noble
self-sacrificing wizards to join you against the Gorgon.

    You only need three things:
1.) a swordsman good enough to defeat Raesene (who's had 1500 years of
    practice).
2.) magic sufficient to overcome his Petrification blood power
3.) a taighmaevril weapon (probably not absolutely necessary, but he
seems to fear the stuff, so it might be a psychological advantage)

Oh, and a fourth thing might be handy,
4.) a way into the heart of the Gorgon's Crown that avoids being mobbed
    by goblins and gnolls.

    > I was wondering if any PCs in any of my fellow BR Discussion Listers campaigns

Nope. My PC's are not really of high enough level to have a go at that
yet, and being on the Southern Coast are more likely to go after the
    Spider first.

No problem on that one: you just build a normal castle, and then there is
a realm spell in the Book of Magecraft which converts it into any special
kind of "look" you want, whether its crystal spires or forbidding black
volcanic glass parapets. Don't remember the exact name, and the book isn't
handy, but I know its there.
